Groß & Partner was tasked by the DFB to serve as the general contractor for the new DFB Academy, including planning and development services.

On the approximately 15-hectare site, we constructed grass fields covering almost 30,000 square meters, a new sports hall with FIFA dimensions and a 49,000-square-meter building housing around 700 workplaces for administration and the DFB Academy. The campus also features a multi-purpose hall, numerous conference rooms, a fitness area and an athlete’s house with 33 rooms.

Key Features & Challenges of the Construction Process

  • Groß & Partner, along with GP Con, undertook this flagship project and completed the construction until it was handed over to the DFB.
  • Integrating construction into the existing workflow of the main building while managing parallel production.
  • Handling and transitioning the planning process, despite the complexity introduced by previous BIM-based planning.
